Weila Wu, yoga instructor and owner of Yoga Space, will be introducing FREESTYLE YOGA DANCE. A student of modern dance at the prestigious Shanghai Art School, Ms. Wu spent her formative years as a dancer in Shanghai and Guangzhou. All the while, Ms. Wu continued to cultivate an interest in the music was dancing to, and by late 1990s she had given up her spot on the dance floor for a place behind the DJ booth and is considered to be one of China's first female DJs. An early advocate of yoga in China, Ms. Wu trained in India to become a certified instructor and in 2004 placed second in the All-China Yoga competition.

With Freestyle Yoga Dance, Wu creates a unique experience using yoga postures, yoga breathing techniques and the spirit of native dance. These elements are combined with the best in electronic dance music with traditional Chinese fans and silk flags waving to the passionate rhythm. The result is both modern and ancient, reflecting art and yogic philosophy together. This class will not only get you in great shape but inspire you to get out on the dance floor!
